ESPAÑOL:

"Se apoya el Cid en el codo y al punto se levantó,
su manto se lleva al cuello y se dirige al león,
el león cuando lo vio, intimidado quedó,
ante mío Cid la cabeza bajó y el hocico hincó."

Esta es la traducción del texto del dibujo, ya que lo que escribí en la imagen esta en español antiguo.

El Cid Campeador es uno de mis héroes personales, y siempre que lo mencionó mi papá se emociona por que el también es fan del Cid (incluso tiene una réplica de Tizon xD), me sé toda su vida y el cantar es uno de mis libros favoritos.

Dibujé esta escena por que siento que es una de las más importantes de todo el cantar. La escena del león.
Aquí sólo escribí un pequeño fragmento del cantar 122 ya que es en la que se menciona como el Cid intimida al león (omití cuando el Cid lp agarra por el cuello y cuando los infantes de Carrión se esconden y humillan).
Para los que no han leído el "Cantar de mío Cid", la escena del león es muy importante por que cuando el león se escapa, los yernos del Cid (los infantes de Carrión) escapan y se humillan por su cobardía, como llega el Cid y es quien salva día, los infantes deciden "vengar" la humillación y es cuando maltratan y humillan a las hijas del Cid en el bosque y luego él más tarde, junto a otros hombres del Cid, llegan y vengan a las hijas del Campeador.

Ese titulo es usado mucho para refrerirse a El Cid en el Cantar.

The exact translation of the part of the text I wrote in the drawing I don't know it (In the drawing is in old spanish and in here, the description of here, deviantart, I wrote the translation in modern spanish [Up, you see it??  xD])

Anyway, El Cid is one of my personal heroes, and whenever I mention him, my dad gets excited because he is also a fan of the Cid (he even has a replica of Tizon xD), I know all his life and the "Cantar de mio Cid" is one of my books favorites.

I drew this scene because I feel that is one of the most important of the Cantar. The scene of the lion.
Here I just wrote a small snippet of the song 122 in which is referred to the lion intimidates by the Cid (I omitted when the Cid grabs the lion by the neck and when the heirs of Carrion hide and humiliate).
For those who have not read the "Cantar de mío Cid," the scene of the lion is very important because when the lion escapes, the sons-in-law of the Cid (the heirs of Carrion) escape and are humiliated by their cowardice, and then the Cid arrives saves the day, the infants choose to "avenge" the humiliation and abuse and humiliate the daughters of the Cid in the woods and then later, along with other men of the Cid, Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar avenge their daughters .
